In this house we love cupcakes and muffins. Just about every weekend I'm whipping up some type of cupcake or muffin. So I'm always looking for ways to make preparing them a little easier.
One way I make cupcakes a little easier is by using a non-stick muffin tray. Of course, as we all know, once you scratch these trays they head downhill real fast. So I do not allow any metal utensils near my muffin trays. Since I also don't typically use muffin cups that can make getting the muffins out a little tricky.
The best method I have come across for getting the cupcakes out without scratching my trays is to use a plastic orange peeler. One end is pretty flat and slightly curved. I slide this around the muffin between the tray and the muffin and then pop it right out. If you're using non-stick trays and a little cooking spray they should pop right out with this method.
